A quick share

OK so I couldn't resist a little share today of a layout I created while travelling on our holiday.  I created this layout using so many wonderful Spellbinders dies teamed up with different mediums all in layers to achieve this look.

You would be mistaken to think that I have used a heap of ready made flowers on this layout, but no, they were all created with spellbinders dies.  I pre-cut them while stationary and as I am able to read or do anything in the car, I made them while hubby was driving.  Funny enough it was good meaning I actually ate less naughty snack food as I was kept busy.

I also used paperclay to create the vines for the flowers to sit on.

The dimension on this layout could never have been achieved with out my trusty Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots.

For a full list of products used on this layout, head on over to the Down Under Direct inspiration blog for my post here

Hope you enjoyed my little un-planned share today.

Spellbinders Craft to win competition

I recently entered the Spellbinders Explore beyond craft to win competition, and I thought I should share my exciting news!

You can see the full details of the competition here but in a nutshell, there was 6 categories, and 2 from each category was chosen as finalists.  I was lucky enough to have this layout chosen.  I have sent my layout off to the US and I now wait, not so patiently, to hear the announcement of the winners!  I am very excited to have been chosen as a finalist, and anything more from here would be a bonus.  It is SUCH an amazing price, so I want to say thanks to Spellbinders Paper Arts for running and obviously sponsoring it, along with their preferred partners.

Here is my layout:

I think that the thing I love most about this layout being chosen is that it is the first layout I created while away in our caravan one weekend.

Please keep your fingers crossed for me.  I would REALLY love for my layout to be on show at CHA!

Published! Australian Scrapbook Ideas

WOW two posts in 2 day!!   Getting off to a great start!

Here are some layouts I recently had published in Australian Scrapbook Ideas volume 16 and 16.

The first was a ‘tried and tested’ article that I completed using Tim Holtz Distress Markers.  I really enjoyed using them on this feature and now own the complete set!  Personally autographed by Tim himself I might add :D

These are the layouts I did all using Kaisercraft’s ‘Save the date’ range.

The next feature that was published in Australian Scrapbook Ideas was in volume 17.  It was a feature on multiple baby photos on a single layout.  I REALLY enjoyed creating these layouts getting reminiscing on my second boy’s first few months.  The little girls in the pink circular one are a dear friends little girls, the pics were just perfect for this!

For those of you that didn’t get started on those new year changes you’ve been wanting to make… maybe Day 3 is your day!  Good luck!!

Tomorrow I will again share some work I was busy creating over the past few months, this time for Helmar!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

With a new year brings new beginnings and opportunities for change.  I’m a strong believer in starting the year how you would like the year to go.  So today I am blogging, relaxing, spending time with my family, taking photos, and enjoying life.  (I typed this post on New Year's Day, but haven't been able to post until today due to no internet access)

I am sorry for the belated Merry Christmas, but having a child that is born just before Christmas makes for a whole lot busier time of year!  On top of that we have headed away on a holiday just before Christmas, and I am writing this post from along the beautiful Eyre Peninsula on South Australia’s coast.

Although a little late, here are some cards I made prior to Christmas.  I only gave a few cards this year as I just ran out of time with everything I had on, but I really enjoyed these using some yummy Kaisercraft papers and teaming it up with Helmar Liquid Scrap dots to get some lovely dimension.

I also have some overdue shares that I thought I would share with you to inspire your holiday crafting…

These were created for Down Under Direct over the past few months.  They just haven’t made them onto my blog yet.  I will have more up to date posts in future on these, with some lovely ones due to go live in January!

I hope you are enjoying your start to the New Year!

Stay tuned tomorrow for some work I have recently had published in Australian Scrapbook Ideas!
